With 11 Lake George regional history books published, I am now turning my time to writing about my experiences growing up in 1950’s Bolton Landing on Lake George . I was very fortunate to be the oldest son of Bill & Dawn Gates who operated our popular Bill Gates Diner, a converted Hudson Valley Trolley Car, now owned by the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake , NY and presently on loan to the Champlain Valley Transportation Museum in Plattsburgh , NY . I’ve been working on my “Growing Up” book (exact title will be decided when it is completed) for several years and do not yet have a date set for publication. I am enjoying my recollections and am in no hurry to stop doing so. Also in the future, I may be selling some of the many duplicates in my Lake George collection and will list them at that time on this web site.  Enjoy the history!  Bill Gates
